Event-specific Rules

Your Avatar must comply with these rules:

  1. Use Full Body Tracking.

  2. Be family-friendly. We want parents to be comfortable letting their kids watch the show unsupervised. If an avatar or outfit jeopardizes that, we won’t accept it.

  3. Don’t draw from controlled IPs. We don’t have the rights to Batman or Mickey Mouse, so if you use them as your avatar, we can’t accept it.

  4. When you submit your performance, specify an associated event - dance, martial arts, or group - that we’ll use to score you.

  5. Your Avatar is the only “character” allowed in the submission - no mixed reality split-screen or additional character animations.

 Performance Tips

  • Choose a family-friendly look

  • Use a high-quality, glitch-free avatar

  • Move in a way that makes your virtual self lifelike and believable

Inspiration

Inspiration videos are not perfect examples and almost never fully comply with Rhythm League rules. They’re just here to give you ideas. Remember to review the rules carefully.

Scoring

When you submit your entry, ask to be evaluated as a Dance, Martial Arts, or Group performance. We’ll use those scoring metrics and then add the two categories below. Check out the “How does Avatar scoring work?” on the FAQ for more details.

You’ll receive 1-10 points in each category, with 5 being “typical among other entries in this event.” That score is then multiplied by a percentage weight. Higher percentages make a category more important to your total. The best possible score is still 100%.

The scoring system is subject to change.
